Welcome to our page for the EMU Emeritus Faculty wiki. Your Executive Board of Directors want to provide an opportunity for our members to maintain a contact with each other and to be able to share experiences, travels, and other information.
Your Executive Board is elected by the membership to three year, staggered terms. Presently, your Board is made up of the following people: Irene Allen, Betty Barber, Bill Cline, Tim Doyle, Bert Greene, John Pappas, George Perkins, Tom Murray, Donna Schmitt.

emu emeritus web siteThis is an experiment for us and it is all new to us. Our guess is that it is probably all new to you too. As we learn together the various things we can do with this wiki, we can perhaps make this a more effective medium for communication. In the meantime, please write something so we can see how this might be used.
There are several ways to begin. There is no cost to any of this, but before you can do anything, you will need to click on the area the says "Join this Wiki." Once you do that and sign up, you will then be able to edit the pages and begin a thread. You can click on the "Easy Edit" button above and then add to this text. Or you can scroll down and begin a thread. Clicking on "Easy Edit" permits you to edit this text. I would ask that you not do that until we see how people want to use this. Perhaps it will be easier to begin a thread so that we can maintain the simplicity of this page. Also, if you like you may add a page. Please try it.
I have added another page that details how to add a page of your own. On the left hand side, you will see a green bar labelled "Wiki pages." Click once on that bar and you will see that there are two pages under this wiki. One is called "Home" and that will take you to this page. The other page is "How to use this wiki." Click on that and you will be taken to the page that explains how to use this.
Remember that the only way for this to interactive is for members to join in different conversations either through the use of the threads, making your own page, starting a new thread and reading what is happening on a regular basis (whatever that might be for you). If we all monitor the (hopefully) different conversations, we might find a topic of interest to us. If we only lurk and never participate actively, this wiki will not be worth viewing. So, I urge you to try something and we will see how it develops. Thanks.
